Nourishing the Campus Community

The Food Committee at Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College & Hospital oversees the planning, preparation and service of meals across the campus. It works to ensure that every meal served is nutritious, hygienic, affordable and satisfying for students, faculty, hospital staff and residents.

The committee regularly reviews menus, monitors kitchen hygiene, gathers feedback from diners and coordinates with mess and canteen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and service.

Role of the Committee

The Food Committee supervises all aspects of campus dining — menu planning, food preparation, hygiene, pricing and service quality. It acts as a bridge between diners and kitchen staff.

Kitchen areas, storage facilities and dining halls are regularly inspected. Staff are trained in safe food handling practices to prevent contamination and ensure freshness.

Menus are designed to provide balanced nutrition while keeping variety and taste in mind. Seasonal produce and special dietary requirements are considered.
