Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College & Hospital (LBKMCH), Saharsa was affiliated with Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU), Madhepura, from the academic session 2019–20 to the academic session 2022–23.
Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU), also known as B. N. Mandal University, is located at Madhepura, Bihar. Established on 10 January 1992, the University has played an important role in strengthening the higher education ecosystem of the Koshi and surrounding regions.
Named after the eminent freedom fighter and social worker Late Bhupendra Narayan Mandal, the University serves as an affiliating institution for colleges and educational institutions across several districts of Bihar, including Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Supaul, Katihar, Kishanganj and Araria.
The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. It has contributed significantly to the development of higher education through academic programmes, teaching, training and institutional growth across the region.
During its affiliation with BNMU, LBKMCH, Saharsa pursued its academic programmes under the University’s affiliation and academic framework for the period 2019–20 to 2022–23.
