Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College & Hospital operates a licensed blood bank on campus, supporting emergency and trauma care, surgery, obstetric and maternity services, and patients requiring regular transfusion support across the Koshi region.

Services
Voluntary Blood Donation
Walk-in voluntary donors are welcome. Donation is quick, safe, and every unit collected stays available for patients treated here.
Replacement Donation
Attendants and relatives of admitted patients may donate to replace units issued for their patient's treatment.
Component Support
Blood is processed and issued as required for transfusion in surgery, trauma, anaemia, obstetric haemorrhage and other clinical needs.
Mandatory Screening
Every donated unit is tested and screened as required under the applicable blood-safety regulations before it is issued.
Emergency & Trauma Support
Blood support for the 24×7 Emergency & Trauma Centre, operation theatres, ICU and labour room.
Donation Camps
Voluntary blood-donation camps organised with student and community participation. Contact the hospital to arrange or host a camp.
Who Can Donate — General Eligibility
Indicative criteria, in line with the national blood-transfusion guidelines applicable in India. Final eligibility is always decided by the medical officer at the time of donation, after a health check.

| General health | Free from fever, infection, and feeling well on the day of donation |
Please tell the medical officer if you are on medication, have a chronic illness, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have recently had a tattoo, surgery, vaccination or blood transfusion — this helps keep both you and the recipient safe.
How Donation Works
Registration
Report to the blood bank with a valid photo ID and complete the donor registration form.
Health Screening
A medical officer checks your history, blood pressure, weight and haemoglobin to confirm you can donate safely.
Donation
The donation itself takes only a few minutes and is carried out with sterile, single-use equipment.
Rest & Refreshment
Rest briefly and take the refreshment provided before you leave.
Testing & Issue
Your unit is screened and processed, then made available to a patient who needs it.
